Div 1 Hurling League Rd 7 has been changed from Friday 06 July 2018 to Wednesday 11 July 2018. The reason for this change is to allow the Football A League Div 1 back game Dunshaughlin v Na Fianna (called off due to a bereavement) to be played on Friday 06 July 2018 and in turn allowing the full final round of Div 1A league games to be played on Monday 09 July 2018.
This, in turn, will allow for the semi final of Div 1A league to be played on Friday 13 July 2018 and the A League to be completed in a timely manner. The consequence of not playing the Dunshaughlin v Na Fianna back game before the final round would mean that five Round 13 games would not be able to be played on 09 July 2018, thus effecting the conclusion of the competition.
With Div 1 Round 7 of the Hurling league being played on Wednesday 11 July 2018 this allows for a timely conclusion to our Football A Leagues and Hurling Leagues, allowing for respective finals to be played before the Hurling & Football Championships re-commence.
