Due to injuries and unavailability, Clonmore could only field 11 players against Tinryland in our first Minor League Group 2 game of the season.
This resulted in both teams fielding 11 but Tinryland had the luxury of having fresh legs to come in. In effect each line of the field had 2 players from each team which resulted in a lot of open space, which the home side exploited to greater effect.
Full credit must be given to the players who turned out and their effort cannot be faulted. They tried hard from beginning to end, and managed some very good passages of play showing loads of skill, tenacity and football ability. Unfortunately this good bunch of lads are suffering because of the continued low turnout, but their desire and willingness to play has to be commended.
Next game is at home to Michael Davitts at 7pm on Tuesday 26 March when a better turnout of players would be appreciated..
