Minor A C'ship Round Robin First Rd: Rathvilly 2-9 Clonmore 4-10

The Clonmore Minors produced an assured performance to win in Rathvilly last Monday night, which is never an easy place to visit.

In a topsy turvy game, we needed two late goals to get us over the line after looking comfortable at 2-10 to 0-7 on 50 minutes. 

Rathvilly pulled it back to 2-10 to 2-8 on 55 minutes before goals from Billy Lawlor and Dylan Doyle (pen) sealed a deserved victory.

15mins: 0-5 to 0-1, five points (1 free) from Dylan Doyle

Half-time: 1-6 to 0-6, goal by Jake Hickey after a long run through the middle, point by Dylan.

45mins: 2-10 to 0-7, goal by Billy Lawlor and four points by Dylan (2 frees)

55mins: 2-10 to 2-8

Full-time: 4-10 to 2-9, goals by Dylan (penalty after he was fouled himself) and Billy Lawlor, who punched a high ball to the net.
