Minor B C'ship semi-final: Myshall 4-7 Clonmore 2-6

November 8, 2018

Hard luck to the Minors who lost to a strong Myshall team in Bagenalstown on Saturday, in a game that was much closer than the scoreline suggests. Showing some excellent teamwork, Clonmore led for most of the first half with two well worked goals by Shane McGrath and Jordan Walsh. But poor passing & nervy handling cost us valuable scores and we conceded a couple of soft goals to leave Myshall leading by 2-5 to 2-4 at half-time.

The game was still very close up to half-way through the second half when two Myshall goals in the space of two minutes left Clonmore with a mountain to climb. The lads battled on bravely to the end but couldn’t get the goal that would have sparked a revival. Well done to the Minor players and selectors on reaching the semi-final – you played some great football during the season and did yourselves and the club proud. Unfortunately things didn’t go our way against Myshall but this talented group of players should have a great future.
