Minor & U-21 News

At last weeks East Cork Board meeting the situation regarding the minor hurling and football competitions for 2007 was clarified. We will be taking part in the 12-a-side competition in both hurling and football. It will be a League/Championship with 8 teams in the hurling and 7 in the football. The competitions will be played on a single league basis. The top two teams will meet in the final with the winner going on to contest the County Championship the runners up in the County League.
The teams in the Minor Hurling Championship are Bride Rovers, Whitechurch, St Catherines, Russell Rovers, Aghada, Watergrasshill, Cobh and Sarsfields ‘B’.
The teams in the Minor Football Championship are Bride Rovers, Glenville, Cobh, St Catherines, Aghada, Russell Rovers and Glanmire ‘B’.
 
The Under 21 draws were also made at last weeks meeting. In the Under 21 Football we are drawn against Cobh and in the U-21 hurling we’re drawn against Aghada. The Under 21 football championship will commence on the weekend of March 24th/25th.
