After having 2 games called off our minor footballers finally got their campaign underway last Thursday evening. Carrick Swan were our opponents on the night which took place in Ned Hall Park. Due to injuries we only had 16 players available on the night. As the saying goes goals win games and it was definitely the case here as we lost on a scoreline of 6-6 to 2-8. The team on the night was: Nathan Costin, Brian Anglim, Michael Boland, Harry Butler, Conor Duggan, Niall Keane, Barry O'Dwyer, Ross McCormack, Andrew Phelan, Frank Meagher, Eoin O'Donovan, Jack Ward Sean Ryan, Jamie Broderick, Niall Mockler, Jesse McCormack. The next minor game is on this Wednesday in Ballingarry at 7.00 where Mullinahone will be the opponents.
Under 16 Football
On Monday week last our under 16 footballers were defeated by Grangemockler/Ballyneale on a score of 3-10 to 0-10. The team was: Ryan Walsh, Pat Griffin, Evan Looby, Darragh Hall, Seán Ryan, Conor Duggan, Jack Meagher, Conor Harrington, Darragh Lynch, James Fitzgerald, Frank Meagher, Stephen Crotty, Richie Anglim, Jack Ward, Pauric O’Brien, James Horan, Jack Spillane.
We had no Under 16 game on Monday 25th April as Clonmel Óg/Clerihan had withdrawn from the championship.
The next game will be against Killenaule on this Monday 2nd May in Fethard at 6.30. The under 16 footballers will play Mullinahone on Monday evening 9th May at 6.30 in Mullinahone.
