Minors Start With A Win

Our Minors produced an excellent second half to register an impressive win today against a good Muintir Bhaire team.

Having pointed on their first two attacks, it was Muintir Bhaire who made the early running. Urhan soon settled, though, and scored six points in a row to race into a four-point lead. The game swung again when the away team goaled a penalty and, with the momentum regained, added three points to lead at the break 1-05 to 0-06.

Urhan were a different team on the resumption. Mistakes were at a minimum and possession was guarded better. The scores started to come, with three goals in the third quarter putting Urhan in a commanding position that they would never relinquish. Good football was played by both sides, and it was an enjoyable start to the seson.
