Moycullen U14 finished off a tough U14 League campain by beating Corofin in the League Final in Tuam stadium today. After a thrilling game which was very keenly contested by both sides, and some fantastic football played, Moycullen won by a 2 point margin. Moycullen started the brighter and were four points up after 15minutes, however Corofin dug in and came back to lead by 1-2 to 0-4 at half time.
The second half saw Corofin again dominate for a period and register two more points leaving Moycullen trailing by three points with 10 minutes to go. But the boys from West of the Corrib refused to give up and came right back into the game with a brilliant pass by Super-Sub Tom O Connor to leave the towering Sean Croke to finish to the net. Moycullen kicked on again and tagged on a few points to seal the victory. Overall here was some great football played by both teams, and Diarmuid Mulkerring lifted the Cup on behalf of his team mates.
