On reflection of the year, it was a positive year both on and off the pitch. The highlight on the pitch was winning the John Drake Cup and reaching the semi final of both the Intermediate and Intermediate B championships. Unfortunately, we were defeated in both games but showed that we can compete with the strongest teams in both competitions.
Off the field, our lotto continues to be the main revenue source and huge thanks to the lotto committee and all who support this weekly draw. Well done to Frances Farrell who won the €10,000 jackpot and Paul Farrell, Shane Dowd and Michael Shedwell who won €6300.
Looking ahead to next year, Declan Rowley has been named team manager for 2018 and Declan brings huge experience to the set-up.
