Kenagh 3-12 Moydow Harpers 1-04
Missing the services of their 8 named players plus an additional 5 players for various reasons, Moydow Harpers had to pull on all reserves just to field a team against local rivals Kenagh.
Considering the challenges of fielding a team, the Harpers started brightly and competed well in all positions of the field. However, two killer opportunist goals from Kenagh mid-way through the first half put distance between the sides and the home side never looked back.
The Harpers rallied well and registered a goal of their own from the boot of Paul Stuart with half time approaching.
Half Time: Kenagh 2-05 Moydow 1-03
Moydow Harpers battled against the odds in the second half and created a number of goal chances that would have changed the complexion of the scoreboard. However, they were unable to convert these chances and succumbed to repeated counter-attacks from Kenagh, who extended their lead further.
Kenagh, ran out easy victors in the finish on a day that Moydow will want to forget very quickly.
