Moylaghs second string beaten

November 7, 2018

Dunshaughlin were always in command in this JFC C first round tie  and opened up an eight point lead by half time with our only point coming from a free from former county star Paddy McCormack.

An early second half goal from Kevin Brody gave Moylagh some hope but that proved to be as good as it got and Dunshaughlin pulled away to win easily on a 1-10 to 1-1 scoreline. Wing back Kevin Muldoon saw red late on for what looked like a hair pulling offence. The game also marked the debut or former Oldcastle and McAnespies star Sean ‘Pongo’ Reilly.

Moylagh celebrated the 125th anniversary of the GAA with various matches from underage level to adult level in both hurling and football. The weather was fine and a good time was had by all.
A traditional music session was held in Teddys afterwards with the local artists on fine form and 480 euro was raised for Our Ladys Hospital Navan in a raffle. Well done to all concerned!
