Juniors had their first league game this morning away to Riverstown FC. It was a wet morning but with the pitch in perfect conditions was set up for a great game. Crosshaven started well putting pressure on but through a mistake from a goal kick found themselves behind after 25 minutes. As the first half came to an end neil Murphy made a burst into the box which he was taken down by the riverstown defender. Up stepped Darren Murphy toput the lad 1 all going into the half time break. In the second half crosshaven got off to a great start putting pressure on managed to win a second peno after a push in the box. Up stepped Darren to slot home to make it 2-1. As the game went on crosshaven were pushing for a 3rd but riverstown caught the defence with a through ball which their striker slotted pass Liam dehlany to make it 2-2. After this crosshaven got well on top with great play going forward and had a few good chances saved or cleared off the line. As everyone taught this game had a draw written all over it neil Murphy found himself through on goal where he made no mistake in making it 3-2 and grab all 3 points. Great start blues 🔵🔵🔵
