Our Junior hurlers played Newcastle in their second game of the championship last Sunday in Ned Hall Park. Although we played against the wind in the opening half we were still ahead at half time by 11 points to 7. The second half was a stop start game with several frees for both sides. A Cathal Mahony goal gave us some breathing space and we ended up winning on a scoreline of 1-16 to 1-10.
