Players from St. Patricks GAA Club presenting Dermot Molloy and Carol Fleming with a cheque for €3500 from fundraisers they ran on Sunday 28th December. Dermot was captain of our junior A hurling team last year 2013
During the day in Anner Park Cloneen they organised a match between a combination of players from 2005 and 2010 against the current team. A very large crowd attended the game which was played in good weather conditions and was very entertaining. That night the players ran a table quiz in The Archway Bar in Drangan. The premises was packed to capacity and we sincerely thank everyone who came to support the event. We also thank William O'Grady for doing a great job on been quizmaster for the night.
Dermot and Carols young baby boy Danny was born in South Tipperary General Hospital early in August but became ill within 12 hours and had to be transferred to Crumlin where he was diagnosed with a rare condition, truncus arteoriosis, which affects the pumping of his blood from his heart and prevents the lungs from getting an adequate supply. Even though he is only 5 months old Danny has already undergone a number of operations and will have to undergo many more in the future. Dermot and Carol has asked us to thank everyone for their support. It was lovely to meet Danny today and the very best wishes to Dermot, Carol and Danny for the future.
