Pride of the Parish Fun Football Tournament

November 8, 2018

Cappagh GAA are hosting a fun football tournament on Sunday, 27th October in the club grounds. This tournament will see Hortland take on Newtown and Ballycannon take on Tiermohan in a mixed competition. We can’t guarantee that Jason Ryan will be there scouting for the Kildare panel next year but we do guarantee great craic and a chance to meet up with players, parents and friends of the club.
Each team will be made up of ten people and must have two Over 40’s and two ladies.
(Ladies get double points for each score!!!) We will be using the Peil Abu GAA rules, which is like tag GAA.

If you are just down to spectate we will have a tuck shop there with tea, coffee and lots of homemade cakes and buns!

We are heading back to the Hideout Newtown for the Post Pride of the Parish celebrations, where we will announce winners of the man/women All Stars, Best Dressed Team (start thinking now!!) Best Score and Winning team, followed by music and the craic.

So get down to Cappagh GAA and The Hideout Newtown to ensure that your area of the parish takes the honours for 2013!!If you are just down to spectate we will have a tuck shop there with tea, coffee and lots of homemade cakes and buns!If you are just down to spectate we will have a tuck shop there with tea, coffee and lots of homemade cakes and buns!

 Tiermohan/Cooltrim

 Corcoranstown/Grange

 Kilcock/Main Road

 Newtown/Cloncurry

 Donadea/Ballagh

 Hortland

 Ballycahan/Ballycannon

 Any other suggestions???

 So which is your team???

Remember two ladies and two over 40’s per team.

We may ask for birth certs to prove origin and to prove you can legally play with your team, we will have a transfer window open for a limited time period so watch this space !!

Knockanally/Ovidstown were overheard trying to rob some Hortland players using the ‘well they are on Ovidstown Hill’ excuse.

Watch out for Tiermohan as well as they seem to be trying to claim to road to Properous!!

More info on team managers will be announced once we agree terms and conditions with them!!
