PRO Notes for the 24th April 2017

Our senior team had a fruitful trip to St Molaise Gaels at the weekend, coming away with a 4-12 to 2-10 win over the home side. Next weekend, they take on Drumcliffe/Rosses Point Saturday evening at 7pm in Cloonacool Community Park. 

 

Congratulations to our Ocean FM Pole Position Quiz team of Shane O'Brien, Padraig McGourty and John Marren on winning the final of the competition last Sunday evening. They defeated Eastern Harps on a scoreline of 42-39. The winning prize was E1,000 for the club. Thanks to everyone that turned out to support the team and to Ocean FM for running this entertaining show. 

A number of Club players still haven't registered with the club. Contact Club Registrar Joanne O'Grady or your respective team coach for details. All players have to be registered by the club before the new playing season commences as they will be not covered by the GAA insurance, and therefore ineligible to play. 

Lotto tickets 2017 are still available from any club officer. This is the Club's main fundraiser for the year and the continued support of the local communities is greatly appreciated. 

Our Minor team were defeated by Coolera/Strandhill last Thursday evening, final score 3-5 to 0-10. They are scheduled for a home fixture this Thursday evening against Geevagh/St Michaels, throw in 7pm. 

Our U-16 take on Tourlestrane this Monday evening in Round 3 of the league, throw in 7pm in Cloonacool.  

Our U-14 were defeated by St Patrick's last Friday evening, final score 2-12 to 4-4. 

Our U-12 team travel to Curry for another blitz evening this Tuesday evening at 7pm. 

Our Blue Kidz academy for all children from U-6, U-8 & U-10 level has commenced every Saturday morning from 10-11am in Coolaney Community Park. New players & children are very welcome to attend. Your club wants you!

The club can confirm the Annual 8Km run will take place on Wednesday, 5th July at 7.30pm in Coolaney. More details to follow in the coming weeks. 

The club are delighted to announce that they will be hosting a Kellogg's GAA Cul Camp on the week 31st July-4th August in Coolaney Community Park. Log onto www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie to book your place.
