PRO Notes for the 3rd April 2017

Our rescheduled Kiernan Cup game against Tourlestrane was postponed at the weekend as a mark of respect to the late Tom Normanly, Tourlestrane. The club extend sympathy to all concerned. Our Division 1 league campaign begins this weekend when we travel to Tourlestrane, throw in 1pm this Sunday afternoon, 9th April.  

The April monthly meeting will take place this Tuesday evening at 9pm in St Nathy's Hall. 

 

Good luck to our Ocean FM Pole Position Quiz who take on Owenmore Gaels in the semi finals of the competition this Monday evening, 3rd April at 9pm in The Glasshouse.

A number of Club players still haven't registered with the club. Contact Club Registrar Joanne O'Grady or your respective team coach for details. All players have to be registered by the club before the new playing season commences as they will be not covered by the GAA insurance, and therefore ineligible to play. 

Lotto tickets 2017 are still available from any club officer. This is the Club's main fundraiser for the year and the continued support of the local communities is greatly appreciated. The first draw will take place at the end of March. 

Our Minor team got their league campaign of to a winning start with a 8-13 to 0-11 defeat of Calry/St Joseph's. They have no game this week. 

Our U-16 team drew with Calry/St Joseph's in their first league outing of the season, final score 5-9 to 5-9. They play St Mary's this Monday evening, 3rd April. Throw in 6.30pm in Cloonacool Community Park. 

Our U-14 team travel to Castleconnor this Friday evening, 7th April. Throw in 6.30pm. 

U-12 training begin their playing season against St Michael's this Tuesday evening, 4th April at 6.30pm in Ballintogher. 

Blue Kidz U-8 & U-10 training contines this Saturday morning from 10-11am in Collooney Teeling Centre. New players & children are very welcome to attend. Your club wants you!

 

The club are delighted to announce that they will be hosting a Kellogg's GAA Cul Camp on the week 31st July-4th August in Coolaney Community Park. Log onto www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie to book your place. 

The club have launched their own "O'Neills Club Shop" with plenty of club merchandise that includes jerseys, socks, shorts, club tops, trousers and jackets available to our members and supporters to purchase. Please refer to our club website at www.coolaneymullinabreena.com for more details. 

Commiserations to the Sligo Minor team on their Connacht League defeat to Mayo at the weekend. Barry Gorman captained, lined out at midfield and chipped in with 2pts in their 2-9 to 1-7 defeat. 

Commiserations to Stephen Connolly and Nathan Mullen and all the Sligo U-21 team & management on their defeat to Galway in the Connacht Final at the weekend. 

Well done to Criostoir Davey and all the Sligo team & management on their National League win over Louth at the weekend. They have a couple of weeks now before they begin their Connacht Championship in New York.
