PRO Notes for the 4th July 2016

The next club fundraiser is a 8km road race in Coolaney on Wednesday 6th July at 7.30pm, Adults 15 euro, minors 10 euro, Family 40 euro ( 2 adults and 2 minors). Registration from 6pm in the Community Centre, Chip timing. Kids fun run at 7pm (sharp).Refreshments served afterwards in the Community Centre, Contact Gerry Lee 086 8282263.

Coaching for Our U.6, U.8 and U.10 players continues every Saturday morning in the Community Park, Coolaney at 10am. They Play St. Patrick's in Dromard on Wednesday July 13th  at 7pm. New Players boys and girls are always welcome.

Our U.12 team play Calry / St. Joseph's on Tuesday 5th at 7pm, in Cloonacool.

The U-14 team were defeated in their league semi final by St Pats, final score 8-8 to 4-2.



The U-16 team defeated Easkey in their final league game, final score 5-9 to 3-9. They take on St Farnans away in their league quarter final this Monday, July 4th. Throw in 7pm


The minors will take on Ballymote in their league quarter final. It has been fixed for Thursday, 14th July at 7pm in Corran Park.


Our senior team were defeated by St Molaise Gaels at the weekend in the Kiernan Cup, final score 2-17 to 1-8. They are in action this Saturday evening when they travel to Tourlestrane in the Kiernan Cup semi final. Throw in 7pm. 

The Senior team are currently running a “ 2016 sports prediction quiz”, entry forms are available from any panel member. The cost is 10 euro per entry.



Congratulations to the Sligo senior team and club player Eoin McDonagh on their qualifier win against Leitrim at the weekend.  


The club will be hosting their own GAA Summer Camp in Coolaney Community Park on the 22nd-24th August 2016. We welcome all children between the ages 5-12 years within the club catchment area to attend this new initative being held by the club. More details can be found at logging onto our club website at
