GAA Feile 2012 Race Night

The GAAs National Feile Peil na nÓg Celebration is being held in Offaly and Laois this year and Edenderry GAA will be centrally involved in the celebrations which will be taking place over the weekend of June 22nd-24th this year. The Feile is a festival of GAA Activities for boys and girls Under 14 years of age and is based on the GAA club unit with some 25,000 boys and girls taking part each year. Its primary objective if to facilitate and enable the personal, social and cultural development of young people and is recognised by the Department of Education, Irish Sports Council and other Government Bodies.

Edenderry GAA club’s Feile committee have organised some upcoming fund raising activities to allay the costs of the weekend and the main fundraising night is a Race Night which is being held in Byrnes Oak Wood Inn on Saturday May 12th with music and food on the night (free entry). We would encourage everyone to come along on the night for what will be a fun night out as well as raising much needed funds.

The night will kick off at 9.00pm with 10 races scheduled including one auction race and there will be prizes for first and second in each race. There will be plenty of opportunities to place bets on the night and we will also be having a raffle for some wonderful prizes.

Make sure to keep in your diary.
