Ratoath Comedy Club Presents Abie Philbin Bowman in
Eco Friendly Jihad From Edinburgh Fringe Festival

Maybe we could reduce carbon emissions by joining Al Qaeda. Who else can save the planet from airlines, American consumerism and overpopulation? Direct from Fringe Festivals in Los Angeles, Brighton & Edinburgh, the creator of ‘Jesus: The Guantanamo Years’ travels to the Venue with this critically acclaimed dark comedy. Abie Philbin Bowman has been boycotted by Ian Paisley’s DUP and performed religious comedy in Pakistan, during a State of Emergency. Most bizarrely, since Abie started touring ‘Eco-Friendly Jihad’, Osama bin Ladan has released two audiotapes blaming the USA for climate change. Don’t miss the comedy show Al Qaeda took seriously.

“Abie Philbin Bowman deserves a comic sainthood”  – The Stage

‘Way beyond superficial satire… Absorbing, intricately woven, challenging and highly entertaining.’ – TimeOut

“With his rapid-fire delivery, wit and taste for paradox, he calls to mind both Swift’s Modest Proposal and Robin Williams” – LA Weekly

Sex Lies & the KKK.

by Abie Philbin Bowman

The night Barack Obama was elected US President, Abie Philbin Bowman exclusively interviewed the Ku Klux Klan. “I hate the Nazis, but I’d love to have interviewed Hitler, just as the Allied tanks rolled into Berlin”. The creator of ‘Jesus: The Guantanamo Years’ and ‘Eco-Friendly Jihad’ tackles Thierry Henri and homophobic marriage. Boycotted by the DUP, taken seriously by Al Qaeda, Abie Philbin Bowman returns to the Venue Theatre from Los Angeles and Edinburgh. Find out why you shouldn’t trust American condoms and why the Pope is really a Bond Villain.

 “A rising star” – TIME

“A distinctive comic philosopher unafraid of pushing the most sensitive buttons.”  – Punchline magazine

“Bursting with talent… The Best Irish Stand-up Comedian under 30” – Sunday Times
