Clonmore had a useful workout against Sarsfields second team in Newbridge on Friday evening winning by the narrowest of margins in a competitive game. Sarsfields second team play in the Kildare Senior ‘B’ Championship. At half-time the home team was leading by 1-7 to 1-6, Our goals were scored by Shane McGrath who dispossessed the full-back to score a clever goal on 26mins and the second was a rocket of a shot from David Mulvany which brought us level at 1-10 to 2-7 on 43mins.

Clonmore had another good workout against Kiltegan seniors on Sunday evening, coming from four points down at one stage to battle back for a good win. The win was marred by a hand injury to Gavin Byrne – we wish Gavin a speedy recovery.
