Crosshaven U14 Girls 3 College Corinthians 2
Overall a great victory for Crosshaven with blustery and misty conditions making life very difficult for both teams.Crosshaven were dominant in the first half leading 2-0 with goals from Jessie Bushe and Katy Reardon but that lead came playing with the hurricane like wind. Corinthians had the wind advantage for the second half and made the most of it pulling level with two well taken goals. Emily Phelan played in goal and produced some outstanding saves to keep Crosser in the game. Those saves proved decisive as with just two minutes remaining Megan O’Keeffe broke through on goal before slotting the winner. Crosshaven had excellent performances from Savanna Dunlea, Roisin McCarthy and Katy Reardon.
Juniors 5 CIT 0
The Junior game Sunday afternoon turned out to be a joke with CIT turning up with just 9 players. Crosshaven tool advantage straight away scoring five unanswered goals in the first 20 minutes. This prompted the CIT management to throw in the towel and the game was called up with Crosshaven taking all three points. Robinson Elejade kept up his recent good form scoring three while Dave Condon & Kenny O’Donovan got one a piece.
U12’s 7 Youghal United 5
A massive three points for Crosshaven in Camden as the U12s went from 4-0 up to 4-4 before finally sealing victory to remain top of the table. Without three regular starters Crosshaven were cruising to victory until Youghal produced an outstanding comeback. Crosshaven’s scorers were Fionn Murphy, Fionn Ross, Micheal O’Donovan, Anthony Wrenne (2) & Cian Kingston (2).
