Kentstown Reserves bowed out of the cup with a defeat on friday night,1/4/11 away to Kingscourt. In a very tight game,Rovers got to extra time but could not fashion a goal and conceded 2 late goals at the end of second half of extra time.It is now an end to the Season for the reserves in which they finished 4th in the league and had a decent cup run.

A very valuable win for the Seniors on Sunday came at the expense of the same team that beat the rovers 4 weeks ago,4-3.This highlighting the inconsistency of the Seniors season in the League. The win now puts them in a good position to stay up,providing they get 2 or 3 more wins.

Kentstown Rovers 5 —  Donacarney Dragons 2,Under 9s:
Referee — Derek Gaff

The Under 9’s are back to their winning ways with a solid performance against Donacarney. The 1st thing to be said is how well Greenstar Park looks and how well the pitch is playing. It is a credit to our Grounds Manager Noel Walsh for all his hard work.
All of our players put in a great shift today , the goal scorers were Luke Holohan Goals 1 + 3 , Cathal Hickey Goal 2 , Sean Commons Goal 4 and Sorcha Gough Goal 5. Donacarney’s 2 goals were both scored in the 2nd half when they changed there line-up completely from the 1st half(we later learned they have 16 on the panel).Of Course its not all about goals and once again our No.1 Joseph Moore put in a great game (as he always does), the defenders , Simon Rooney , Ryan Ashe and Cathal Hickey held very well , Jamie Kirwan coming back from an injury put in another sterling performance and last but by no means least Adam Mahon (carrying a chest/throat infection but not willing to give into it) , Dylan Bagnall , Sean Nolan and Sorcha Gough (with her 2nd goal for Kentstown) all playing out of their skins in the match and all contributing to a very noteworthy performance for the 9’s.
Thanks again to the parents who scream each week for us and always push us on. We are at home again on wednesday evening the 6.4.11 to Duleek with a 6.45pm kick off and as always, all are welcome to support the mighty 9’s.

OUR SEMI-FINAL IS ON 13.4.11 HOME AT GREENSTAR PARK TO DROMIN WITH A 7PM K.O. , THE SUPPORT OF THE WHOLE CLUB WOULD REALLY BE APPRECIATED AS THIS IS OUR FIRST COMPETITIVE SEASON.
