MATCH REPORT:
Kentstown Rovers 4 — Walshestown Wolves 1
Referee Peter Kiernan.

A grudge match is the only way to describe this one but the right result came in the end. to be fair Walshestown are a great team and they defended really hard, but our 9 year olds showed what they are made of once again. thanks to all of the Parents who came and screamed the house down for our team and encouraged all children on the team to ‘play hard, play fair’.

The goals all came in the second half with Cathal Hickey first, then quickly equalised by Walshestown, but Sean Nolan again showed his style and composure by slotting home our second. at that stage we sat back into defence with 5 minutes to go waiting to take our chances as they came and come they did, Sean Commons with 2 goals in quick succession to make it 4-1 and beyond doubt.

Our man of the match today was Joseph Moore by a country mile. our number 1 never lets us down and is always there putting himself in harms way for Kentstown.

The referee , Peter Kiernan called a halt to the game after a long battle with Kentstown Victorious.

It is very important for myself and Aidan Mahon as Co-Managers to congratulate all of our squad today. Not every player can score goals every day but all players at every match give their all , completely 100% to the team and the club and they all deserve to be congratulated for that.
