Last Sunday Moynalvey returned to the Senior ranks of Meath Football when capturing the Mattie McDonell cup after defeating Gaeil Colmcille on a 0-15 to 1-13 score line in the Intermediate Championship Final at Pairc Tailteann, a match report is available on the club website Meanwhile last Saturday the Moynalvey U-10’s played Beann Éadair in a challenge in Howth and won by a few points, photos of the day are in the photo gallery of the club website. In upcoming fixtures, the Moynalvey minors bid to reach the semi-finals of Div. 1 of the MFC when they take on St. Peters Dunboyne this coming Friday September 30th at 8pm in Dunganny. On Friday week, October 7th, Moynalvey will bid to capture their 3rd adult title of the year when they will take on either Donaghmore/Ashbourne, Dunderry or Castletown in the Final of Div. 3 of the B League at 8pm in O’Mahony’s ground. On Sunday October 9th, Moynalvey are scheduled to take on Cortown in their final group game of Div. 3 of the A league at 11am in Moynalvey. On Saturday 15th of October Moynalvey will take on Nobber in the opening round of the U-21 ‘B’ Football Championship at 4pm in Simonstown. On Sunday 23rd of October Moynalvey will play the Louth Intermediate Football Champions (either Clan Na Gael or O’Raghallaighs – final is this Sunday) in the opening round of the Leinster Intermediate Club Football Championship.
