Ríth and weekend matches

November 8, 2018

On a glorious St Patrick’s Day a number of girls from U12 and u14 Camogie teams ran a leg of Ríth, a national marathon which started on March 9th and ended in Eyre Square on St Patrick’s Day. A baton containing a message of support for the Irish language from the President had been carried through this marathon. Congratulations to all who took part.

On the field it was a weekend of mixed fortunes. The U16 Ladies footballers won their league match, while the male Minor team lost to local neighbours St Michael’s. In Camogie The U14 team lost their opening Feile match by a goal while the Junior team enjoyed a win in a challenge against Roscommon Senior team Oran.
