Dermot Early Youth Leadership Initiative ; This exciting new Initiative brought together by National University of Ireland, Galway Foroige, The GAA and Alan Kerins Projects will be poilited in Counties Roscommon, Kildare and Galway. It will offer 15 young people (aged 15 – 18 years old) from the three participating Counties the opportunity to expand their leadership skills through an exciting new project that Honours the leadership values Dermot Earley epitomised and held so dear.
This course will run from Oct 2013 to April 2014 and involves 50 Instructional hours. It will take place part time, evenings and weekends and will not interfere with school or sporting commitments. The first session will take place in Croke park on Oct 26th, the day of the second international Rules series match V Australia. All other sessions will take place in the participants own County. Football; Well done to the Seniors who had a great win over Naas in the semi final of the championship. We now have the Moores in the Final, this is the fifth meeting of the 2 teams in the final since the turn of the Century, a credit to both clubs. Hard luck to the Minors who narrowly lost out to Athy in the Minor Semi Final.

Hurling; Well done to our hurlers who beat Ardclough in the IHC S/F. They now play Celbridge in the final on Sunday 6th in Newbridge. Best of luck to Barney and the boys.

Time for the Flags; The club will be putting up Flags at some stage this week so keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook Accounts for the times. If your available please come along and give a hand out, don’t forget your ladder!!!!

Pool Tournament The Pool Tournament kicks off again on Thursday nights at 8.30, all are welcome.

Function Rooms There are 3 Function Rooms available in the club which can cater for big and small Functions, Weddings, Christenings, Birthdays, Funerals, etc. Enquiries to Celene (087/7934780) Christy (087/9249884)

Skills Academy; The Dermot Earley Skills Academy is now in full swing on Saturday mornings and all new members are welcome. Times are as follows: 09.00 – 10.30 boys u8, u9, u10. 10.30 – 11.15 Girls u9, u10. 11.15 – 12.45 Boys u5, u6, u7, girls u5-u8. Looking forward to meeting new Members.

The Club Shop The shop is open every Saturday morning. It is well stocked out with all types of gear both casual and Training. Gum Shields are now available priced at €6

Club Lotto The club would like to thank all those who support the lotto and would like to encourage all its members to participate in the weekly Lotto draw. This can now be done by going on to the Sarsfields web site and clicking on the (play lotto now) link, then follow the step by step instructions.
