Membership 2014 Club membership is now due, to enable members to be registered and it must be paid by March 31st. Also, a membership subscription must be paid by March 31st. if you want to vote at the 2014 AGM.
All players who wish to play for Sarsfields in the League and Championship must be a fully paid member. This principle applies to all, regardless of age group.
Your Club needs you. So please register before March 31st.
In simple terms this means if adult or juvenile players do not pay their membership, they are not eligible to play Gaelic games for the club. The prompt payment of membership helps Sarsfields to provide the players insurance scheme, Lighting, Pitches, dressing rooms, training equipment and much more. The club would like to thank all its 10 year members and to remind them that it has now expired and new membership can be paid as in the times above. Disco The next Sash disco will be on the 11th April and as normal will start at 8pm and will finish at 10.30. The disco caters for children aged between 11 and 14 yrs of age (5th, 6th and 1st year). As always it is very important that we have plenty of supervision for the Disco so if you wish to help out you can contact Christy 087/9249884

Annual Table Quiz Sarsfields GAA will hold their Annual table quiz on Holy Thursday 17th April. The quiz will take place in the main hall in the club and all members are asked to support the event. On the night there will be a Raffle and spot prizes etc. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Fundraising Sarsfields GAA have teamed up with Pic N Mix Cakes to take part in The Great Irish Bake for Temple Street which will take place on Saturday the 12th of April at the Dermot Early Accademy. All support will be greatly appreciated. Please come out and support. Thank you!
Also on the 12th of April we are having a clothes collection in the Club.You can bring along all used clothes, Shoes, Handbags etc. No bed linen or curtains please. Please suport your club.

Used Football & Hurling Gear As the club Equipment officer it is my aim to raise funds whenever possible, to ease the cost on the club on buying training equipment. Over the next few weeks I will be trying to collect as much gear as possible and then sell it for a small fee on a Saturday morn at the Academy. What we need, Boots (all sizes), Helmets, any O’Neills gear, Jerseys, Hoddies etc. Any Monies made from this will be used to buy training gear for the club. I will start to collect on Saturday morn coming 29th Mar, so if you are attending the Academy or you can call in with some used gear please leave it in the shop. Important Notice Due to the fire in the club which started in the area of the sauna upstairs you are unable to access the Gym from that side of the building. The pitch side of the club house will now be used. The opening times will vary due to this. The gym will be open from 9 in the morn to 12.30pm and from 8pm till close of Building dressing rooms are still unavailable at the minute. When the repair work has been completed the normal Gym hours will resume.
Aviary Beauty is now operating in the Roseberry Room until work has been completed. As the work progresses we will keep you up dated. Thank you.
Dermot Early Academy Our underage Academy has recommenced on Saturday mornings for all children between the ages of 5 and 11. Sarsfields have a very successful underage structure and this is due to the hard work and commitment of our underage coaches. As always, at the start of every year we welcome all our new members in to the Academy and we look forward to seeing you. For further Info Contact Mick Byrne (086/8375719) our Academy Co-Ordinator.

Football (This is for W/Ending 7th March)Seniors played away to Confey in the 3rd Rd of the Lge and had a convincing win on a scoreline of 1-15 to 0-08. The U/16 team had a good win over Moorefield in their last Lge game and have now quailified for the S/F. The U/14 B Team beat Leixlip on Sun Morn and are now in the Final of the Feile shield. On Mon evening the 7th our 3rd and 4th team played their first rd Lge matches the 3rd team beat Rathangan and the 4th team were unlucky to lose out to Suncroft.

Hurling Our senior hurlers open their Lge account this Thur with a home match v Naas at 19.00.
Ladies Football Well done to Shauna Kendrick who has been called up to the Kildare Ladies Senior Panel. This is a great accomplishment for Shauna at just 17 years of age and the club congratulates her on this achievement. Our Senior Ladies have their first home Lge game on Tue 8th v Kilcock at 19.00.

Cumann Na Sáirseálach On Saturday 1st March the club launched its new fund raising Initiative which is known as Cumann na Sáirsealach All the info on this can be found on the web site If you are interested in joining this and supporting the club you can contact Vice Chairman John Maher (087/6371285). This is a great opportunity to support your club and help us to develop it more for the future.

Gym Fobs Anyone who had already paid membership and for the Gym Fobs you can now collect them off Christy Horan (087/9249884).

Function Rooms There are 3 Function Rooms available in the club which can cater for big and small Functions, Weddings, Christenings, Birthdays, Funerals, etc. Enquiries to Shirley (086/8568830)

The Club Shop The shop is well stocked out with all types of gear both casual and Training, we also have a large stock of Gum Shields for the upcoming season for €5 each. The Shop opens every Sat morning from 11am to 1pm or you can contact Angie Byrne on 086/0762710.

Club Lotto The club would like to thank all those who support the Lotto and would like to encourage all its members to participate in the weekly Lotto draw.
