Great Night in Scór: It was a wonderful night for the club at the Co Scór Finals in Manorhamilton on Saturday. We had six items participating and two of them won county titles. Amazingly, for a club with such a record in Scór we hadn’t won a County title in any event since 2004. This time Elaine Duignan deservedly took the honours in Amhranaíocht Aonair with her fine rendering of “The Rocks of Bawn”. Elaine last won the County title in 2004. It was a similar story in Novelty Act. Three years had passed without a win but this year that was rectified with a revival of “Umpa”. Well done to the Novelty Act team of Claire Fanning, Madge Murphy, Bríd Sullivan, Michael Fanning, Ross Dooner, Sean McKeon, Raymond McHugh and Brendan Brennan.

Fixtures: The first adult games of the year are on this weekend. Our Division 4 team play Allen Gaels in Drumshanbo on Sunday at 12.00. Our seniors play in the Shield in Dromahair on Saturday at 5.00. The under 16s have a game on Saturday, check fixtures for details. Junior girls also play in the Park on Sunday at 12.00.
Free Tickets to Croke Park: Every club in the country is getting 4 complimentary tickets to the All Ireland Club Finals next Monday 17th in Croke Park. Any paid-up club member who wants to put their name in to get one of these tickets please give their name to Alan Banks before 4pm Friday evening.
Under 16s Draw with CArrigallen:We played Carrigallen in the first round of the 13 a side competition in the Park on Sunday. Missing a number of panel members through injury and sickness the team played very well and were four points ahead at half-time. Carrigallen dominated the first fifteen minutes of the second half but O’Heslins hit back and were three points ahead in injury time when Carrigallen scored a penalty to leave it a draw, O’Heslins 3-8 Carrigallen 2-11.
Oiche Gaeilge:The Ciorcal Comhrá in the Library concludes with an Oíche Gaelach, ceol, caint agus amhráin ar an Máirt seo chugainn. Starts at 9.00 and all are welcome
