All Ireland Scór na nÓg Finals.

On Saturday our Bailéad Ghrúpa take the stage in the All Ireland Finals in Athlone. It will be a great occasion for Aisling Duignan, Katie Duignan, Lauren McGrory, Ciara O’Dowd and Ciara Martin. We wish them the best of luck and the same to Mohill, Aughnasheelin and Fenagh clubs in their attempt for All Ireland glory as well. As usual it was hard to get All Ireland tickets and the supply did not match demand. However there will be a big contingent in Athlone from Leitrim for the occasion.

Minor League

Our minors got off to a good start with a win over Annaduff in the 13-a-side Minor League on a scoreline of 2-13 to 1-2. It was a good all round team performance. Next game is at home on Sunday to Bornacoola at 12.00. Please support.

Thomas McLoughlin is currently in hospital in Grenoble in France after a serious skiing accident. We wish him a speedy recover and hope he will have recovered in time for the senior league.

Coaching Conference

The Connacht Council are organising the Elvery’s Coaching Conference in the McWilliam Park Hotel, Claremorris on Saturday 23 February, starting at 9.30. This is a very useful coaching event. A number of very famous coaches will be speaking on the day including Colm O’Rourke, Pat O’Shea (Kerry Manager) Ger Loughnane and Paudie Butler, National Hurling Co-Ordinator. Each club can send a minimum of two coaches. Anybody involved with any of our teams who is interested in attending please contact Alan Banks for details.
