Fixtures: Senior play Drumreilly in the Shield on Saturday in the Park at 5.15. On Sunday we have a Div 4 game against Carrigallen in the Park at 2.00. Minor League Semi-final is on Wednesday against Melvin Gaels at 5.30. Venue not yet confirmed.
Seniors Lose Shield Game: In a dramatic final minutes we lost our first shield game to Dromahair on Sunday. We conceded two early goals but came back well before half-time and were just a point down at 2-3 to 0-8 for Dromahair. Despite having a few absentees, we still looked good to win the game throughout and we were leading by two points in the final minutes. Then an fortunate Dromahair goal beat us by 3-7 to 1-12.
U16 Game Loss: Round three was played in Dromahair on Saturday and the boys gave a good account of themselves. They were 1-5 to 0-5 behind at half time. The day was windy which made possession a lottery but they closed the gap to two points in the end. Dromahair 1-11 O’Heslins 1-9.

Minor Medals Presented:The under 21 and Minor medals for 2006 were presented to the Oughteragh Gaels panel of players in the Commercial Hotel on Monday last by Donegal footballer, Brian Roper.
Presidents Award:Last Monday saw St Vincent’s and Portumna lift All Ireland Club titles in Croke Park. Seán O’Heslins were also ably represented at HQ by none other than John Harte. John received the President’s award from Uachtarán, Nicky Brennan for the many years of service he has given to the club. Eighteen people received awards on the day and John was in good company with many figures of note including Brian McNiffe, who trained Donegal to All Ireland victory in 1992. In his acceptance speech John paid tribute to his family for all the support they gave him and he dedicated the award to those people who travelled far and wide selling our €100 tickets before Christmas. John also regaled the Fear a Tí, Marty Morrissey with stories of bygone days and especially of his days set dancing in Scór. Comhghairdeas John and there is still life in the old dog yet.
