The final of the East Cork Senior Scór was held in Lisgoold on Sunday night last. We had entries in Solo Singing, Recitation, Instrumental Music, Novelty Act and Question Time. Caitríona Howard did an extract from ‘The Field’ by John B Keane and was adjudged the winner of this competition. Well done Caitríona. In the Instrumental Music Maria and John Power were runners up as was our Novelty Act “The Sunday Game” whose cast included Betty Cahill, Orla Arnold, Liam Barry and John Arnold. As both winners and runners up go forward to the Co. semi final, we will have 3 representations in Castlelyons on Sunday week February 22nd. Well done also to Melissa Power (Solo Singing) and John Arnold, Tom Mulcahy and Pa O’Driscoll who competed in the Question Time competition. We extend best wishes to the St Catherines Ballad Group who take part in the All Ireland Scór na nÓg final on February 21st.
