Locallotto.ie

We have a new feature on the locallotto.ie system that will help Sean Treacy’s raise funds more consistently.  This is a recurring payment feature it has two components:

1. It will allow our supporters to simply click a button while they are buying a lotto ticket and in doing so, the lotto ticket will automatically renew at the end of the chosen period – essentially an electronic direct debit scheme.

2. A new report will now appear in our club administration panel.  This new report will give us full details on the status of all of the play slips where our supporters have chosen the auto renew option.

AGM
Our senior AGM was held on Sunday 12th December at 4 pm at the Sean Treacy GAA centre.
Thanks to all who attended and sent in nominations for positions and motions. Anyone who has still to pay membership please do so.

We had a marathon meeting lasting three hours with many new people elected to new positions. Fr Christy O’Dwyer Life President opened the evening with a prayer as Pat Carr Secretary, Brendan Carr Treasurer and Willie O’Dwyer Lotto delivered their comprehensive reports.Fr Woods and Fr O’Donoghue were elected Honorary Presidents. Our life Presidents are Fr Christy O’Dwyer, Michael Ryan D, Michael O’Brien, Michael Ryan W, T.J. Caplis, Dan Kennedy, Paddy McLoughlin, T.J. O’Dwyer and Matty Ryan C.

Our Chairman Pat Stapleton who was re-elected reflected on what has been a fantastic soon to be fifteen terms and adopted a motion which resulted in Michael Hanly being elected as our Chairman elect 2012, Vice Chairman and Co board rep. Life President Fr Christy was followed by Pat Carey Lotto Chairman and John Carey Bord na nOg with their very interesting respective addresses.

We passed a number of beneficial motions after which Pat Stapleton is West board rep, Billy Carr was elected Alcohol and substance abuse officer and the county football board rep remains to be filled. The Secretary Pat Carr will be confirmed at our adjourned convention in January and the Treasurer will also be filled then.

Brendan Carr stepped down after giving sterling service for thirteen years and indicated that he will pursue a coaching career. Willie O’Dwyer continues as an excellent Field and building caretaker with Kathleen Ryan. John McCormack will maintain his super job as Co Board draw coordinator and Ger O’Toole will drive membership as Registrar. Rory Ryan our champion lotto seller does the water as well. Pat Stapleton jnr takes over from Seamus Carey who we all miss and is enjoying life in Liverpool. Ollie Carr will drive our progress as he has done for a few years as Development officer  looking after the golf classic as well.

We wish our President Mick Caplis well and hopefully his wish will come through that we will have success on the field and achieve another west title at intermediate hurling. The following team managers were elected Matt Carr Intermediate hurling, Myles Devitt Junior A and U21 football, William Ryan Junior B hurling and Seamus Costello U21 hurling (and Vice Secretary). Other positions and selectors will decided by our adjourned convention in January.
