U21 Football
We played Emly/Solohead at Solohead with selectors Joey Nolan, Tom Hickey and Paul Shields picking a team to pull off a fantastic draw setting up a show down next weekend at Kilcommon. The combo started well leading by four points at half time but Treacys battled all the way never giving up to leave the final score 1-7 each. So come and support the lads at home at the weekend and avail of the indoor viewing area with the eventual winners progressing to the west semi final.
Affiliated teams
In Hurling we play Senior Hurling with Galtee, and on our own we play Crosco cup, Intermediate, Junior B and U21 C. We are joined at A grade with Emly and Solohead called St Ailbes in both minor hurling and football. We move up to Junior A football and continue at U21 B football.
Training
We welcome Eamon Sweeney as our trainer for this season and encourage all of you not training to heed the text and turn up the next night.
Membership
Please pay your team leaders at the next training session and the leaders, players, selectors, officers, committee and supporters can pay Ger O’Toole Registrar by the end of February. The rates are adult player €50, Student €30 and General non player €20 with a €10 reduction up to 1st March. To play for Treacys you must be a paid up member and wear a helmet in all hurling activities.
Blast from the past
We achieved another first in 1999 winning the West and County U21 B football final overcoming Rockwell 1-8 to 1-3 in the West final and Thurles Gaels in the County final.
