U21
A new team of selectors for Hurling and Football including Tom Hickey, Joey Nolan and Paul Shields were chosen at the AGM. The football starts in the next few weeks as we play Emly/Solohead on the 14th and 21st Feb and as we are B again this year the selectors want the players to make a big effort to be ready for the championship so say YES to the text

Intermediate Hurling
This year Michael Hanly, Pat Deegan, JJ Ryan R and Phil Ryan C will act as selectors in conjunction with Eamon Sweeney who we welcome as our trainer this year. Thanks to Toddy Sweeney who trained us for the last few years.
The minor and junior B hurling selectors will be finalised shortly.

Blast from the past
Michael Hanly was installed as Secretary in 1997 and Pat Stapleton followed Michael Ryan W as Chairman in the same year as Brendan Carr took over from TJ Caplis in 1998 who had served for an amazing twenty three years. On the playing field we won the West U21 Hurling final 2-13 to 1-5 beating Rockwell and 1998 brought our first junior football West title winning the final 2-6 to 0-9 defeating Galtee Rovers.

London
The club trip was a great success as lads now get back to the hard graft to prepare for the championship

Sean Treacy’s Juvenile GAA

Our juvenile club has been very strong over the years. In the early years there was only one competition and that was for under 15. We had many successes down the years and won one hurling All Ireland in Feile Na nGael in 1990. We won numerous divisional competitions down the years

Next year we are going to revive the McCormack Cup (presented by Ted and Bridget McCormack) for football. We are going on revive the O’Brien Cup (presented by the late Bill O’Brien) for hurling. In addition to this we are glad the say that Pat, Patricia and Niall Butler have donated the Kevin Butler Memorial Cup for an under 14 hurling competition. This is in honour of the late Kevin Butler who played juvenile hurling and football with the club. We would appreciate if the respective minders of both the O’Brien and the McCormack cups would make us aware of their whereabouts so please contact John Carey 086 3139644 with the good news

Our club owes a great debt of gratitude to the parents, teachers and priests of the Parish for their help and co-operation down the years. The upstairs arena in the new complex at Kilcommon cross will be used extensively for the benefit of our juveniles.

Thanks for your support in our fundraiser so far so make your contribution and write your name on the wall.
