Club History
One of our greatest years was surely 1968 when we defeated Rockwell in the first round of the West Senior Championship and went on to draw with Kickhams on a score 2-9 to 3-6. The replay ended with Treacy’s winning 3-11 to 3-8. Through to their first West Senior Final and defeated Eire Óg 5-6 to 5-4. This was indeed a great day for the Club. In the same year Johnny Keane took over from Pakie Ryan as Secretary and the office of Treasurer transferred from one Hollyford man to another as TJ Caplis replaced the late Paddy Stapleton who was Pat Stapleton’s our current Chairman’s Father.
