Seniors beat Finbarrs in championship

November 8, 2018

The senior hurlers had a comfortable win ove Nh Fionnbarra in the the championship on Tuesday night. They won by 3-12 to

2-10. This leaves us with one match left against Erins Isle to decide which of us go into the quarter final. Watch out for this fixture.

The Junior hulers lost their quarter final match to Crumlin on a score of 1-6 to 1-8. This was a very close game, and in which the game was in the balance right up to the final whistle. Olaf’s led at half time by 4 points to 3 but Crumlin came back early in the second half and were leading by one point with ten minutes to go. Then a great run by Colly Delaney and a great pass to James Hughes ended with James crashing the ball to the net to put Loaf’s 2 points ahead. But with only 5 minutes to go Crumlin got their goal and Olafs struggled to get back in the game.
Well done to the Juniors for getting to the quarter final they played some relly great hurling during the year and although they were short 3 or 4 players against Crumlin they nearly pulled off  surprise win, as Crumlin have been unbeaten in the championship so far this year.
Also well done to the management team of Tommy Brown and Chaomhain Bermingham for their hard work and dedication to the team.
