Dromard rounded off their league campaign with a home win versus Ardagh (2-11 to 2 – 5) and retained the Div 1 title for the second year in a row. Dromard led by 1 -7 to 0 -2 at half time with the goal coming from a fine effort from Diarmuid Masterson and good scores from both Frankie Magee and Jamsie Martin. The second half followed much the same pattern with Dromard picking off some fine scores with the goal coming from top scorer Magee. The game was marred by a serious shoulder injury to Peadar Faughnan who had to be taken to hospital by ambulance following an accidental clash. After the game County board Chairman Martin Skelly presented the Johnny Skelly cup to Dromard team captain, Pauric Jones
