Seniors leave it late against St Brigids

November 8, 2018

Edenderry seniors played their second game of the league campaign on Saturday and collected 2 more points with a one point victory over Croghan. Edenderry trailed Croghan the whole game and had to rely on a last minute goal by veteran defender Johnny Hurst. At half time Edenderry were behind 0-05 to 0-02. Croghan scored the first two points of the second half and lead by 5 points with 15 minutes to go. Edenderry sprung Sean Og Farrell and Peter Manley from the sideline and both men made a huge contribution. A late flurry of free’s reduced the gap to 2 points and Johnny Hurst late goal sealed the win.
Overall Edenderry will need to improve on this display but the main thing was they got the win and have now got 2 wins from 2 games.
