SFL Div 2: Ballinabranna 1-7 Clonmore 1-12

November 8, 2018

The intermediates keep the winning run going when playing away to Ballinabranna in the last round of the Div. 2 league. A slow start and what could be classed as an average Clonmore performance in the first half led on to what would be a good victory in the end.

Ballinabranna throughout the first half missed plenty of scoring opportunities and should have led at half time but instead Clonmore made better use of their scoring chances and led 0-6 to 0-3. Clonmore upped their game in the second half and picked off some great points when the chances arose and went on to win the game on a score line of Clonmore 1-12 Ballinabranagh 1-07.

A well taken goal by David Mulvany and two great saves by Collie McGrath late in the second half ensured Clonmore ran out deserving winners against the physically stronger and more mature men from the ridge.

For Clonmore Shane Murphy, Pauric Lawlor, Ronan Doyle , Gavin Byrne, Owen Coleman and David Mulvany stood out.
