SFL Div 2: Grange 3-11 Clonmore 0-9

November 8, 2018

This was a bad day at the office for the Intermediates as John Murphy and Paul O'Halloran dominated the midfield area and ensured a plentiful supply of ball to the Grange forwards who kept the scoreboard ticking over to leave them leading by 2-7 to 0-4 at half-time. Clonmore lifted their game in the second half by crowding midfield, tightening up at the back and moving the ball forward at pace. But the game had been lost in the first half and the second was a damage limitation exercise. Fair play to all 18 Clonmore lads who played – they battled all through and never gave up in spite of the difficult circumstances.

The next game will be at home to Myshall at 6pm on Saturday 23 April. Myshall have beaten Fighting Cocks (3-6 to 0-4) and lost to Railyard (1-11 to 0-8).
