Playing good fast football, Clonmore’s young team were on top in the first half and led by 0-6 to 0-3 at half-time. Kilbride lifted their game in the second half and were closing the gap when a long shot from Mark Hennessy was fumbled to the net by the Kilbride goalkeeper to give Clonmore a good cushion which they held to the end. In a good team performance, youngsters Shane McGrath, Mark Hennessy, David McCarney, Martin Doyle and the two Mark Byrnes played well.
