This was a cracking game played in perfect conditions in the Training Centre in Fenagh. Clonmore could have won in normal time, but in the end we had the outstanding John McGrath to thank for a last minute leveller to bring the game to extra time. Unfortunately, as injuries began to mount up,the lads ran out of steam in extra time and Ballon got in for three breakaway goals as we chased the game.
The injuries to key players made it a big challenge but, in spite of the disappointing result, the efforts of the players right to the end was impresive and bodes well for the Championship which opens with a Quarter Final against Ballinabranna on a date to be announced.
