Roche Emmets were hosted by St Mochtas in Louth Village in the Sheelan Cup on Friday 14th May at 7:30pm for the second time inside a week with a quite different result.

Roche had the upper hand through out the match. Barry O’Hare replaced Martin Craven who retired injured after clocking up 1-2 three quarters through the first half. Roche were good value for their half time five point lead of 1-7 to 0-5. Roche accumilated their tally through 1-2 from M.Craven, 1 point each from Gerry Murphy, Kevin Callaghan and Barry O’Hare (1F), and 2 points from Dan O’Connell (1F). The Mochtas took all their scores from play in this first half.
In the second half they failled to get going and only added two points to their total while Roche added a further 1-8; Duane Callan got the goal, Martin Carroll added 2pts as did Liam Carthy and Kevin Callaghan with Dan O’Connell getting another point. In this period Roche added three replacements on the 13th minute and a further sub on the 18th minute.
