A chairde,
Lots to look forward to and reflect on this week. The club even got a mention at the historic Papal Visit over the weekend when our former footballer Alan Kerins was introduced to the crowd at Croke Park on Saturday evening, where he gave a fantastic and memorable speech.
All eyes on Croke Park this Sunday where our County minor footballers bid to end Kerry's dominance in the All Ireland Final. Best of luck to management and players especially our own skgaa men. Hopefully we'll be celebrating another All Ireland minor success.
It was another great week for hurling in the club with the U13 hurlers picking up a county title last week in great style. Lots of matches this week with the Junior and U12 Ladies Footballers in action, as well as the U12 hurlers and the minor and Junior footballer all playing crucial games over the coming week.

Senior:
Commiserations to the Seniors who were beaten by a strong Annaghdown team in Athenry on Saturday evening. The lads went toe to toe with Annaghdown for the entire first half and on the whole played well but just couldn't convert their scoring chances, only to concede an unlucky goal on the stroke at half time. It was catch up then for the second half, but after Annaghdown's strong start to the second half, it wasn't meant to be. Best for Skgaa were John Maher and Andrew Butler. It's not all dooom and gloom however. Following Barna's draw with Killannin on Saturday, Skgaa still have a great chance of qualifying if they can win their final two group games.
