U6/7 training continues Mondays in St Enda's great numbers great to see parents helping out also .
We had a great u8 blitz last Sunday morning against Barna, St James’s, & Moycullen over 120 kids took part and the kids had great Fun and played some nice football,Thanks to all parents & coaches who helped out, training on Tuesdays McGrath’s 6-7 & more blitzes to come.
U9 continue to train Sundays in Mcgraths and Tuesdays in Enda's.
U10 Hosted 10 teams for the 2nd annual SK Jack Fitzpatrick u10 tournament. SK had 3 teams with Barna , Moycullen x2 Westport x2 and St Brigids Dublin x2. Over 200 kids too part with some brilliant football and very close and competitive games. The 3 SK teams played very well with 1 team coming second on their group losing narrowly to Westport in their final. A strong Moycullen team overcame Westport 2nd team in the final.
Huge thanks to all parents supporters who made cakes , helped out with teas/coffees etc and also to the referees and to the club for their support. Big thanks to Roy OToole and his u10 coaches who co-ordinated the day brilliantly well done Roy and coaches.
U11s continue to train every Sat and Tues upcoming 2 tournaments to finish off a great year St Mary's tournament on October 20th and Pete Burke tournament date tbc
U12’s played in the U13B final last night in Claregalway against a strong Claregalway side. We had 28 players and committed that everyone would get a game. We were 3-5 to 1-1 up at half time. We made 13 substitutions and have everyone at least 20mins. Our opponents played their strongest side throughout the game!!
We were beaten by 3-4 points in the end but our coaching team believe that the experience of playing in a final is more important than the result….there’ll be bigger finals to come in the years ahead
The u14a footballers are through to the County Championship Final following a hard fought win over Killannin last Sunday in the Prairie. Our lads were the better team in the first half, leading 2-6 to 1-3 at half time, having defended well and putting some great scores together. They then started brilliantly in the 2nd half scoring 2 quick goals from slick passing moves. But Killannin fought their way back into the match scoring 3 goals to bring them to within 3 points, before our lads gathered themselves with some great points under pressure, eventually winning out on a score line of 4-10 to 4-5. Many thanks to the parents and vocal supporters who cheered our lads on all the way through. We hope they can continue this support and look forward to the county final vs. St. James's (date and time tbc).
U15's won the League Final last night beating Moycullen by 3-11 to 1-11. Some super football throughout and it was great to get most of our squad a run out during this match.
A lot of this squad also won the U16B Division 4 Final last month.
Well dive on great year Noel and coaches and to u15s also.

U16's play championship quarter final on Sunday at 11am in praire v monivea.
Adult Hurling
Junior Hurling:
Hard luck to the Junior hurlers who were beaten by Micheál Breathnachs in their last Junior 1 championship game last weekend. Despite the result, the lads put in a great display with the future of skgaa on show through the likes of Sean Burke, Seanie Joyce, Riain McNeill and Keith Gleeson all playing brilliantly. Huge thank you to our tireless management team Ger, John and Timmy for the relentless hard work all year.

U10s Cappagh Cup continues this Thursday @ 6pm in Cappagh. There will also be a blitz this Sunday 7th in Prairie for U9 and 10s , 2pm to 4pm. Cois Fharraige, Liam Mellows and Carnmore are the visitors. So loads of gametime for these girls this week.
U12s will play the U10 hurlers this Friday in Cappagh at 6pm. Sibling rivalary will be the name of the day here with a number of the girls taking on their younger brothers.
U13s put in a good performance against Portumna in semi final of county B shield. The game was tightly poised at half time but in the second half Portumna got a few crucial scores that made the difference in the end. The girls should be proud of themselves and how they performed on the day and thoughout the U13 competition this year.
U15s had a great win against against Davitts in U15A league in Tynagh last Saturday morning. Thanks to the strong number of parents that made the trip. Next match is away this Sunday against Shamrocks in Loughrea.
The minors lost first match of championship away to Oranmore Maree last Sunday morning.
Juniors lost out in semi final play off to St Dominics at the Prairie last Saturday morning. The girls gave it everything but unfortunately was not to be. The team will benefit hugely from their first season back at Junior A level and they should be very proud of how they performed in the grade. The future looks good for this team with some strong talent coming up through the ranks. Finally, special thanks to Richie Marnell who is stepping away after 10 years coaching, having coached a lot of the current Juniors since U8.

U14
Our U14 A team were beaten in the Div 1 semi-final by a very accomplished Claregalway side on Saturday. Our girls played well but ultimately lost out 3-10 to 6-12 in an entertaining game of football. A disappointing result but as ever the attitude and team spirit of this group of players was on view for the many supporters who came out to watch. Great to see.
Our next competetive match is the Div 4 final for the B team vs Mountbellew. So training continues for all as usual. Before that however there will be a challenge match this Sunday vs SKGAA U12 Girls in Cappagh.
U16/
The U16 Girls trained in failing light on Wed 26/09 at the Prairie. The planned Junior match for Sun 30/9 became a walkover with Killanin conceding the Fixture. That was a Pity. That takes SK Junior girls into the Div 3 Shield final. More details to follow. Next Up Training 3/10 and a friendly planned for Sun 16th Oct versus a visiting Offaly u16 team.
