Congratulations to the teachers and staff of St Malachy’s Primary School Castlewellan on the school’s recent success in winning the prestigious Irish News Club and Volunteer Award in the Primary Schools section.. In particular we wish to congratulate our Club members Principal Maurice O’Neill and Cormac McCabe who have done such sterling work over the tears in promoting and coaching Gaelic games in the school. Congratulations also to Club members Noreen Keown and Laurence McAlinden for the time they have given in assisting the teachers with coaching
Maurice O’Neill who went along to collect the award told the Irish News ‘everyone associated with the school the kids staff parents, St Malachy’s GAC, a club they have strong linls with were extremely proud and looking forward to celebrating the success when school resummed next week’
