St. Patrick's Juvenile Club News

November 7, 2018

Well done to Eoin Fitzgerald Magoury who was one of 26 chidren (pictured above) who played in an exhibition game during half time of the league final in semple stadium on Sunday last. The exhibition game was part of the Gaa respect initiative and organised in conjunction with Diabetes Ireland.

Under 12

On Sunday evening last in Grangemockler our under 12 hurlers played Windgap in a mini game at half time in the Tipperary/Kilkenny Under 21 hurling game to mark the opening of Mick Hogan Park in Grangemockler. Our boys put on a fine display and the great saves made by our goalie attracted comments from several spectators. Well done.

On Tuesday of last week our under 12 footballers were defeated by Ardfinnan in Anner Park Cloneen on a score of 5-8 to 1-1. The team was:Jamie Brett, Jack Cuddihy, Ryan Crannitch, Thomas O’Brien, Aidan Fitzgerald, Denis Clancy, Robert Barton, Keith Morrissey, Luke Butler, Fergal Keane, Matthew McCormack, Cian Crannitch, Cathal Foley, Luke Fox, Angus McDonald.

On Tuesday 27th May our under 12 footballers play Mullinahone at 6.45 in Mullinahone and on Tuesday 3rd June they play Fethard in Anner Park Cloneen also at 6.45.

Under 14

Our under 14 footballers await their final group game against Carrick Davins which will probably be played next week. Having won all their games to date they should already be secured a semi-final spot.

Under 16

On Thursday last 8th May our under 16 footballers were defeated by Ballingarry in O’Sullivan Park, Ballingarry by 4-12 to 0-3. This leaves them in joint second place in the group with Carrick davins but unfortunately they have a lower score difference so it will be  Carrick Davins who will go forward to the semi-final.  Our lads will now turn their attention to hurling and prepare for the championship which will commence after junior cert exams.
