Under 10’s
Well done to our under 10 girls who made the short trip over to Callan to play John Locke’s Callan on Sunday morning past, in a challenge game. It was a 13 aside match and all the girls enjoyed the experience of playing a different club. Thanks to John Locke’s for the invite over to play the game. Team that took part: Abbie Slattery, Aoibheann Sugrue, Leah Horan, Rosie O’Brien, Dawn Moroney, Rosa Vespa, Niamh O’Brien, Kara O’Dwyer, Claire Fitzgerald, Leanne Casey, Rachel Kelly, Marissa Meagher, Siobhán Hogan and Milly Cleere.

Under 16’s
Details of the under 16 quarter final match vs Boherhalan still not tied down, this is an away game for us and also knockout.

Junior Ladies
Well done to our Junior Ladies team that took part in the Pat Bourke Memorial Tournament on Sunday past,  which was a 10 aside competition. We played the hosts Gortnahoe Glengoole LadiesFootball in the first game, which was a tough physical encounter but ran out winning, which then meant a straight final clash against Moycarkey Ladies.
Playing with a strong wind in the first half, St. Patrick’s dominated and went in at half time with a healthy lead. However, then playing against the wind St. Patrick’s struggled to contain the running moves of Moycarkey, who steadily started to come back into the game and by the full time whistle, they had drawn level. It was decided then to play extra time; 5 minutes a side. Despite, trying to reignite previous momentum and keeping pace with Moycarkey, St. Patrick’s found it difficult to find their earlier scoring form and lost out to Moycarkey by 6 points. It was a great team effort by the St. Patrick’s girls, who despite the legs and bodies tiring kept going to the end. Well done to Moycarkey Ladies for winning out the tournament.
It was a great runout for all the girls in advance of championship starting next Monday night and all the girls will have learnt a huge amount in playing Moycarkey who are a grade higher. Many thanks to Helena Bourke and the Gortnahue Ladies Club for the invite to the tournament and the refreshments afterwards.
Team on the day: Sadhbh Morrissey, Dearbhla Morrissey, Sarah Walton, Maria McGrath, Ciara Fitzgerald, Gráinne Fennelly, Eabha Hogan, Erin O Brien, Caoimhe Ryan, Niamh Keane, Chloe Griffin, Aine Ryan, Siobhán Vaughan, Aileen Kelly, Una O'Brien, Aoife Doheny and Leanne Murphy.  Team manager: Michael Moroney.
Next u16, 17, 19 and junior ladies training session this Wednesday evening at 7.30pm in Anner Park Cloneen. First round junior Ladies championship match vs Gortnahoe Glengoole LadiesFootball is set for Monday 25th of June at 7.30pm in Anner Park Cloneen. Good luck girls and team management.

Well done
Well done to the girls in St. Patrick’s National School Drangan who took part in the Tipperary Ladies County Primary School blitz last Thursday in Templetuohy. St. Patrick’s NS played three round games and registered good wins against Carraig 2 NS, Silvermines and St. Joseph’s Templemore, leaving them in the C final against Lismackin NS. Playing against a strong wind in the first half, Lismackin scored three goals in quick succession in the first half, which left Drangan NS having a lot of work to do in the second half. The girls played their hearts out in the second half but found it difficult to get back into the game and claw back enough scores, leaving Lismackin winning the game out.
It was a great experience for all the girls who took part and they had a very enjoyable day out. Team: Ailish Ryan, Sarah Boland, Lucy O’Brien, Laura Butler, Rachel Crannitch, Sarah Hayden, Allie Cuddihy, Sophie O’Brien, Ami O’Brien, Anna O’Dwyer, Olga Maher, Erín Moroney and Mia Dannagher. Teacher: Emma Dunne. Mentors: Una O'Brien, Erin O Brien and Catriona Boland.

Special mention to our under 14 player Olga Maher who recently came 4th in the county community games athletics under 14 800m – well done Olga!
