St. Patrick’s Under 13 hurling team 2012

Front; James Fitzgerald, Dale Murphy, Barry O’Dwyer, Brendan Kearney, Adam Cuddihy, Pauric O’Brien, Darragh Hall, Aidan O’Dwyer.
On saturday last our under 13 hurlers travelled to Cappawhite to take part in the county u-13 hurling tournament. St. Pat’s first game was against Golden which was a very close game. Having led Golden by 3 points at halftime, Golden fought back in the second half and won by a single point on a scoreline of Golden 2-4 to St. Pats 2-3. Our second game was against the home team of Cappawhite with our lads needing a victory if they were to qualify for the finals which will be played next week. Again our lads led by 4 points at halftime and the aim was not to let the lead slip in the second-half like in the previous game. Despite Cappawhite giving their all St.Pat’s held out well for a good win on a scoreline of St. Patrick’s 1-4 to Cappawhite 0-2. We now look forward to competing in the finals which are due to be played next weekend.
